I bought a new shampoo and conditioner, and they were left in the hot car for a few hours. Still safe to use?

I ended up stopping at my aunt's house on the way home from the store (where I picked up my new shampoo, conditioner, and styling mousse). The products were left in a warm/hot car for a few hours, but obviously the air conditioning was on when we were driving home... So, are they still safe to use?

*SOMEONE SAID TOXINS COULD HAVE SEEPED INTO THE PRODUCTS... TRUE?I bought a new shampoo and conditioner, and they were left in the hot car for a few hours. Still safe to use?
No, it's not true. That's the dumbest thing I ever heard.I bought a new shampoo and conditioner, and they were left in the hot car for a few hours. Still safe to use?
It's safe it's not food.
they should be fine to use. people sell stuff like that at flea markets all the time. i think long exposure can lead to separation of the ingredients but a few hours is nothing. people shop ,leave there stuff in the car and go shopping some more all the time.
Is it just me, or have you repeatedly asked this?

It's fine to use.

What is the best way to shampoo a cars upholstery?

Hi, I have a faint ciggerette smell in my car, and would just like to give it the thourough cleaning that it deserves. I am wondering how exactly to shampoo the upholstery? I don't have any special shampoo, just hair shampoo, and I dont ahve any special tools (steam cleaner, etc...) So what would be the best way to do this? by the way, the car is not a leather interior, and the fabric color is grey. thanks! -GeorgeWhat is the best way to shampoo a cars upholstery?
Bring it to a well-respected auto detailer, even though it may cost you $150. Over-the-counter car shampoos don't work on cig. smoke since the tar and nicotine go past the fabric and all the way to the seats' foam padding (plus the headliner and vents). All these over-the counter products do is mask the bad odor with another bad odor!

My detailer steam-cleaned the car thoroughly and then set off an all-natural odor neutralizer ';bomb'; that got rid of 85% of the smell. Your car won't ever be 100% free of the smell and it will smell stronger on hot days but, trust me, don't try to do it yourself, it's a waste of time and money.

Also, it never hurts to put some aquarium charcoal in your car ashtray. It's a cheap and easy way to keep the car from getting new odors. What is the best way to shampoo a cars upholstery?
Leave it to the professional cleaners. Believe me, I recently test drove a second-hand car that had cigarette smell. Weeks later I bought it and the stinky smell was nowwhere to be smelt. I heard the previous owner had it thoroughly cleaned at the professional car detailer using Meguiar's products(USA). Another option is to stop smoking in the car which I successfully did (being an ex-smoker). And if u do smoke in the car, never switch the air-con or the blower on because smoke circulates inside the air-con system and the smell stays.

How much does it cost to get car upholstery shampooed?

About how much does it cost to get all of the upholstery of my small car interior cleaned? How much does it cost to get car upholstery shampooed?
It will depend on the condition and the size of the car. Will there be stain removal? Do you have cloth seats also? Do you drive a small car or a giant SUV? Without any specifics I can only estimate between $50 - $100.

When you shampoo carpet in a car do it make it look like brand new carpet?

Depends on how bad the stains are in the carpet. If it is just dirty, then yeah, you can make it look new. If it has ground in stains, then I doubt if it will look completely new, but it will look better and not as noticeable. good luck.

  • My car has a very strong odour smelling like meat gone bad. Everything is shampooed. The odour the same?

a mouse or a squirrel might have crawled up in there and died. check your tire wells and under the hood ( a warm place to sleep).

I've heard of mold growing in the air conditionerMy car has a very strong odour smelling like meat gone bad. Everything is shampooed. The odour the same?
it could be one of two things.....does the smell get stronger when you turn the a/c or heat on.....if it does you possibly have a dead mouse or rodent in the air ducts.....another common problem for a rotten smell is moisture coming into the vehicle somewhere creating mildew.........there is a product on the market that absorbs moisture and smell....it comes in a can that you just open and place under a seat.....give it a try.....otherwise look for dead rodents and wet spots after a rain!!!!!
If it's not roadkill snagged in the undercarriage, then I'd investigate your air vents, and especially the area under the dash and vicinity of the cabin air filter (if you have one).

Mice often make nests in there, and it's a total pain in the butt.
